Z Bridges

New Bridges from Very Old Wood

Scott Zimmerman's Z Bridges represent a step forward in banjo bridge technology. There are two models -- the The Vintage Z bridge which is made of old wood and retails for $30.00 and the Z bridge Elite, which is old wood with a proprietary Patent Pending idea that uses aerospace technology and sells for $35.00.

These bridges will bring out the best in your banjo. The bridges and all bridge technology were researched for two years to get a base of knowlege about weight and design. They are designed to have similar weight in 5/8 and 11/16 sizes to be consistent .

The vintage Z bridges, which can be manufactured on a production will be available in stores soon. The Elite bridges are handmade by Scott and are therefore available on a much more limited basis

Dave Fox sugarfox@dreamscape.comor hogfiddles@hotmail.comis selling them now and Paul Hawthorne is waiting for his first order. The normal voo doo about grain and checker doesnt apply to these bridges from the old wood and the elite has rules of its own.

I recommend not using loose head and high tailpieces as the wood likes an amount of loading to produce best results. The elite demands normal head tension not loose and tailpiece about 4 millimeters off the head.
